The Murphy Group launches its online Image Library  30. April 2007
The idea behind the Murphy Group Image Library was to put all valuable images online in a secure, fast, searchable, password-protected environment, allowing access to employees and selected suppliers across all offices via a simple web browser.

Within an ever-changing world of technology, the Murphy Group's priority was to find the most efficient and cost effective system available based on a modular 'plug-in' architecture, where additional features or functionalities could be included at any stage. The contract has been awarded to TheDataArchive.com, a technology company specializing in developing 'easy-to-use', flexible and client specific online image library solutions.

The Image Library allows the Murphy Group to:

- Avoid duplication of content creation and purchases. By having quick access to images stored in one place avoids uneccesary commissioning

- Save time on lengthy file searches - where historically images are kept in filing drawers or on numerous CDs or shared drives.

- Identifying gaps in the library, so strategic commissioning of new images can be actioned

- Cut spending on CD duplication for other people within the organisation, as well as mail and courier fees

- Increase collaboration on media projects using the lightbox facility to share views on images to be used in marketing collaterals

- Provide a web-enabled media library for the entire organisation

"We believe the Murphy Group should be at the forefront of technology when it comes to managing, sharing, searching and distributing images. We hope you will enjoy this new website." - Paul Mallorie, Group Business Development Manager. Read other News
